Summit the largest free standing mountain on earth

Join Kindred Safaris as we follow in the footsteps of geologist Hans Meyer and many locals prior who were the first to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano south of the equator and is the largest free standing mountain on Earth.

The trek includes guides, porters, meals and strategically located camps allowing for acclamation to the extreme elevation of the mountain. The climber is treated to a changing ecology as you move through five distinct climate zones. From the lush woodlands around the base of the mountain, through heath lands, grasslands and subalpine moorlands, to the rock and ice near the summit.

Guides will lead you up the mountain in 6 to 8 days via one of the four main routes towards our goal of the summit at 19,341 feet. The Kilimanjaro trek can be combined with a 5-7 day safari into the national parks of northern Tanzania.
